On November 8, 1954, the entire operation was moved to the AM transmitter site at 869 Blue Hills Avenue in nearby Bloomfield.

In May 1967 the WDRC AM/FM studios were moved back to 750 Main Street in Hartford, this time taking over the entire 15th floor. There they stayed until early 1977 when the studios and offices were again returned to a remodeled building at 869 Blue Hills Avenue.
